There has been a surge on Elvis auctions this recently. It seems like every day, a new item that Elvis on touched, saw or signed (or in this case, wore under that famous jumpsuit) crops up at auction and sells for amazing amounts of money.
This week’s item is Elvis’ underwear - Unwashed and still soiled with stains – which were worn beneath one of Presley's famous white jumpsuits during a performance in 1977.
The undergarments will go to auction with a selection of other memorabilia from the King in Stockport, Greater Manchester, next month.
There is expected to be a lot of interest in this item with the 35th anniversary of Elvis’ death having just passed.
Apparently, The singer did not want any lines visible while he was on stage and this pair of underwear was obtained from the estate of Vernon Presley, the star's father.
