Christina loves her curves

Pop singer and The Voice US judge Christina Aguilera has defended her curves in a recent interview.

Christina Aguilera has stood up for her body shape, saying she feels more comfortable, and confident than she ever did when she was “too thin.”

The Beautiful singer has stood by the message behind one of her biggest hits and lashed back against the recent criticism of her fuller figure, adamant she is much happier at her current weight.

She recently told Lucky magazine,  “Actually, the challenge I’ve always had is being too thin, so I love that now I have a booty, and obviously I love showing my cleavage. Hey, if you can work it and you can own it, that confidence is going to shine through.” A good lesson for all females young and old looking to the singer for inspiration not just in her songs, but in her image as well.

Aguilera also said she’s much more comfortable with having more control over her fashion choices now that she is grown and understands the music industry better. “When you’re young, it’s so easy to get bulldozed” she said “There were these two ladies who worked at the record label who always wanted to come to fittings and dress me up like a Barbie doll. It was disgusting.”

A more confident, in control and happy strong female in the spotlight can only but a step forward towards body acceptance across all genders and age ranges.
