Snow Patrol performing acoustic shows in Melbourne and Sydney

Northern Irish group Snow Patrol will return to Australia for just two acoustic shows later this year.

The band last visited Australia in 2009 for the V Festival.

This jaunt will mark the first time that material from Snow Patrol's latest album, Fallen Empires, has been performed on our shores, with a stripped back line-up comprising frontman Gary Lightbody, pianist Johnny McDaid and guitarist Nathan Connolly.

Tickets are on sale Thursday July 19 at 9am.
