The excitement was certainly palpable as the packed-out Allphones Arena awaited the man of the night, Robbie Williams.
And boy, he did not disappoint, arriving on stage in classic Robbie fashion and whipping the crowd into a frenzy.
Dressed in dapper fashion, with a tuxedo and tails, the costumes and stage set matched the 'swing' theme perfectly, as Robbie opened the show with 'Shine My Shoes', quickly followed by some classics, 'Ain't That A Kick in The Head' and 'That's Amore', which had the whole crowd singing along.
It wouldn't be a Robbie Williams show without some sort of mischievous escapade, and on Sunday night, that came in the way of 'No One Likes a Fat Popstar', which Robbie sung while dressed in a fat suit suspended from the ceiling. Brilliant.
With decades in the music industry tucked under his waistcoat, the audience were obviously going to be treated to a few 90s classics, but 'Love Supreme', 'Come Undone' and 'Millennium' were performed as swing versions, which certainly went down well!
Act Two of The Swing Tour Live packed quite the punch, with the emotive 'Mr Bojangles', the super-fun 'I Wanna Be Like You', the sexy 'Hit The Road Jack' and the high-energy 'Shout', leaving the whole auditorium grinning from ear to ear.
The second half of the show was not without its emotional moments too, as Robbie's dad, Peter Williams, joined the star on stage to seranade us and Robbie talked about his little girl, Teddy, and the love he has for her. It was such a beautiful moment and one everyone will surely remember, especially as baby number two is only days away for Robbie and wife Ayda!
He tugged at our heartstrings one last time, too, dedicating Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' to his late father-in-law, before regaling us with a medley of more of his classic songs and finishing - just as everyone was hoping - with 'Angels'.
Everyone knew they were in for a great show, but 'great' might just be the understatement of the year. Robbie has a voice on him like no one else, and with his cheeky persona bubbling to surface at every opportunity, this super-entertainer treated the audience to laugh after laugh, songs to make you get up and dance, hands-in-the-air moments and a truly fantastically fun night.
