Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" tells the tale of eternal love
Christina Perri achieved two goals when she penned “A Thousand Years”.
She featured on the soundtrack of one of her most-loved book and movie series, Twilight, and she also got the chance to share her inner-romantic with the world.
“I’m ‘hook, line and sinker’ a super hopeless romantic," she says.
"This song is about loving someone forever. I wrote it specifically for Edward and Bella. It's just one of those mushy-cushy songs."
Perri says singing this song live is always a highlight because she gets to see real emotion in her fans.
“Performing “A Thousand Years” is really special right now because the audiences are all learning the song," she says, smiling.
"I can see couples will get closer, and girls will get teary-eyed and everyone just goes into this romantic waltz with me.”
